Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Vascular Malformations

Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Vascular Malformations uses the same steps and procedures as treated using this non-surgical approach in eliminating brain and cranial tumors. The patient is properly aligned with head placement gear and CT scans are performed in locating the tumor. The surgeon will then use a linear accelerator approach in treating the area. Radiation therapy is then administered throughout the remainder of this non-surgical procedure and the head frame is then removed.
